Ministry of Bits is a founder-led team on a mission to help small businesses succeed and thrive. We build practical software for professionals and shop owners in the decorated apparel industry – a community of makers who hustle every day, care deeply about their craft, and deserve tools that fit the way real shops actually work.
We focus on clarity, calm, and control - whether you’re running a busy screen print shop juggling jobs, artwork, and deadlines, or managing projects in a professional office. Our tools help you get organized, stay on top of work, and actually feel good about your day.
We’re not a venture-backed startup chasing unicorn status. We’re building for the long haul, growing sustainably, and staying close to the people we serve.

Patrick Salo
Founder • Designer • Builder
Patrick spent over 30 years in the tech industry - including nearly three decades at a leading global technology company - designing systems that simplify complex problems. Ministry of Bits is his way of doing that on a more human scale: crafting software that’s focused, intentional, and genuinely useful.
After decades designing systems at scale, Patrick now builds tools that solve real-world workflow problems for decorated apparel shops and small businesses, where clarity and time saved make the difference between chaos and profit.
His passion has always been the user experience - not just how things look, but how they work in the real world. Every tool we build is designed to help people get clarity, stay on top of their work, and feel more in control of their day.
We’re proud to build Ministry of Bits as a Zebra company - part of a growing movement of businesses that believe in profit with purpose, collaboration over conquest, and long-term resilience over rapid scale.
For shop owners, that means software designed to last - tools you can count on through the ups and downs of a seasonal business.
We’re not a corporate SaaS company. We’re a small, independent studio building tools for people who get their hands dirty. No venture capital, no shareholders - just makers building for makers.
“Black and white. Both, not either/or.”
Profit and purpose. Mission and margin. Durability and trust.
We’re just getting started - and we’re building carefully, intentionally, and with a lot of heart. For decorators, that means sharper workflows and less time wasted on paperwork. For office professionals, it means streamlined systems you don’t have to fight with. Either way, the goal is the same: tools that last.
If you value real results, long-term tools, and working with people who care about their craft, we’d love to connect.
Let’s build something that lasts - together.
